ABOUT THE VILLAGE OF BANYA

To the great advantages of the year-round attractive mountain resort of Bansko we will add those of the village of Banya. The small village is famous with its more than 70 mineral springs and it is located in the beautiful Razlog valley, only 5 km from Bansko and Razlog and 156 km from Sofia.

It is surrounded by three majestic mountains: Pirin, Rila, and Rhodope, which are guaranteed picturesque mountain views, summer coolness, and crystal-clear air. The village of Banya has a population of 3000 people but is an attractive center for countless tourists throughout the year.

What attracts them here are not only the healing mineral waters, and the beautiful mountain panorama, but also the silence of the small settlements. Here all visitors have the unique opportunity to touch the presence of the inhabitants of this place in the past, as evidenced by a large number of Thracian archaeological remains, or to feel the Bulgarian Revival spirit in the 11 old houses-monuments of culture.
